Often when folks are seeking grief support (you might be one of them) part of what is hard is finding the right support that is geared toward your specific loss. I’ve tried to compile here a list of resources (groups, orgs, books, movies, etc) organized by the type of loss, since that can be a main contributor to the grief experienced. I’m adding to this list all the time, so please share if I’ve left something out.
Topics on this page: Loss of Partner/Spouse, Loss of Child, Loss of Parent, Loss of Sibling, Youth Grief Support, Loss Due to Suicide, Loss Due to Substance Overdose, Disenfranchised Loss/Grief, Men in Grief, Grief Support in Spanish / Apoyo al duelo en Espanol, Pet Loss, Faith-Based Support, and General Grief Support

Leanna Immel, LMFT specializes in providing compassionate, effective grief counseling to adults and teens. Grief can be a complicated vortex of emotions and experiences. In one moment you may be perfectly fine, and the next you are swept into an emotional intensity you’ve never experienced. It’s unfair, and it’s exhausting. In an increasingly isolated world, getting therapy after loss can help you feel less alone and more able to feel like yourself again. Grief isn’t meant to be experienced alone. If you are feeling isolated, stuck, or could use a helping hand, its time to reach out.
